Sometimes I really crave a Lemon Poppyseed Muffin from Paradise Bakery. Back in high school, that was my go-to lunch. I thought muffins were a healthy “light lunch”… I was oh-so wrong. Did you know that one of those “snacks” has 550 calories and 39 grams of sugar!? Insert shocked face here!!! Ahhh!
Once I learned that my little lunch was loaded with about the same amount of calories as a Big Mac (563 cals)… I was on the search for a muffin makeover. Although, this treat doesn’t exactly replace or mock the texture of the muffin, it is yummy and waaayyy less calories and sugar. Introducing the Lemon Chia Seed Yogurt Treat..
1C plain Greek yogurt
3-5 drops lemon flavor Stevia
1/2TBSP chia seeds
Mix & enjoy… Just pretend it’s a muffin 😉
Bonus… This treat has just 150 calories!!!
